This dark, structured wine, with its balanced blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, is firm with tannins and dense berry fruits. Full in the mouth, it is a concentrated wine that brings out a strongly chalky texture. The wine is still moving towards a rich future. Drink from 2017.

2. Evodia, Spain , Garnacha, 2016

3. Malma P15, Argentina | Patagonia, Cabernet, 2017

Although this vintage has not yet recieved any press, prior vintages have scored 90 points from wine spectator. Making it one of the few wines in our store under $10 scoring in the 90 range from their publication.Wine Spectator review of previous vintage”This offers red plum and dried berry flavors that are refined and well-structured, wih an open-textured appeal. 4. Alvarez de Toledo, Spain | Bierzo , Mencia, 2013

Another wine that seems to score around 90 points each vintage, a tremendous value from a grape that we don’t often see, Mencia.

Ripe plum and violet aromas carry a slight note of prune. A beefy palate shows hard tannins but nothing too tough that food can’t tame. Blackened, roasted blackberry and blueberry flavors finish with charred, meaty intensity. Drink through 2020.
